George "Bob" Arnold (a/k/a "The Mayor of Stroud Township")

George found Heaven with his name on it in New York City.

GEORGE ARNOLD, owner/operator of Arnold's Studio in Stroudsburg, PA, gave me my first paying job in photography. He saw something worth cultivating in a 22-year-old recent Navy veteran and $95-a-week bank teller who came knocking at his door asking if he needed any help around his studio.

In addition to running his own studio, George made his services (and eventually mine) available to local newspapers, police departments and served the county in the capacity of "Deputy Coroner's Photographer". I couldn't have asked for a more fertile ground in which to be "cultivated."

He'd go anywhere for a picture.
